So it’s been way too long (though it always does seem to be, no?), and in the meantime I managed to spend 5 weeks overseas traveling around East Asia, as well as a week spent in Albuquerque, NM for a motion-related conference. Lots of fun in both, lots of new friends & connections in the second.
However! Before all this traveling around, I worked on a little infographic-style piece dealing with germs and bacteria. As part of this, I had to make up a type treatment that fit into the style. Thus– Bacteria Text was born.
Editable with any text or graphics in a precomp, little particles flow in the background and the text crinkles and moves about as if it lived in a petri dish. Works on a couple layers of fractal noise, clamped levels and mattes to get this twitchy look.
Download link below. Open up the Bacteria Text – Type Precomp preset and change the type in there, and watch it update in the main Bacteria Text comp and see it go! It loops, too, if you’re into that sort of thing.
This AEP uses Trapcode Particular for the actual little bacteria particles. If you don’t have it, open up the ‘Bacteria BG’ precomp and hide/disable the ‘Particles’ layer.
